With an engineering background before moving into the construction industry early 2000's the impact of the fusion of manufacturing and construction comes as no surprise. Richard has been a Director of the MPBA for 3 years, setting up the Learning Hub to close the knowledge gap across the industry and help develop a solution for possible skills shortages in the future. 

Technical Chairman and a Director | Modular and Portable Building Association

Andy has been the Technical Chairman and a Director of the MPBA for the past 18 years and has focussed on working with other members of the industry to improve the professionalism of the industry and raise awareness of the benefits of modular buildings. Having worked directly for two market leading modular manufacturers for over 25 years, Andy has a vast knowledge of the special features of modular design and building systems development and regularly sits on a range of government regulatory and other advisory bodies promoting, supporting and developing the modular building industry.

James is the Founder and Managing Director of Step Connect² who are the organisers of; the Modern Methods of Construction Awards, Education Estates® which is in partnership with the Department for Education, Learning Places Scotland which is in partnership with the Scottish Government, Education Buildings Wales which is in partnership with the Welsh Government and Education Buildings Ireland which is in partnership with the Department of Education.

James’ passion is in bringing together built environment professionals to network, share ideas and to do business with each other.

Chief Executive Officer | Modular and Portable Building Association

Jackie Maginnis, Chief Executive of the Modular & Portable Building Association (MPBA) has worked within the volumetric industry for 35 years. Prior to her role with MPBA she worked for a manufacturing and hire company of volumetric buildings, being involved with the design and manufacturing process, and supplying buildings to all sectors of the market. 

As Chief Executive of the MPBA, Jackie plays a key role in the connecting of sectors in the modular and portable building industry. The Association collaborates with specialist technical advisors to enhance innovation in the design and manufacture of modular buildings.
